A new Zero Day critical remote code execution vulnerability in the Windows Print spooler service was discovered on June 30th. This vulnerability has been given the name “PrintNightmare” and assigned a CVE number of 2021-34527. There is currently no patch for this vulnerability from Microsoft. Omega Systems has added the indicators of compromise to our SEIM platform to detect potential exploitation of this vulnerability inside the network. Additionally Fortinet has released new Intrusion Prevention Signatures (IPS) to detect and block attacks from outside your network.
