We are writing to inform you of a planned maintenance window to upgrade the DUO Proxy servers used by your organization. This upgrade is required to replace soon-to-be End-of-Life (EOL) software and ensure continued, secure DUO authentication service.
What is happening?
- DUO Proxy servers listed for your account will be upgraded to the latest supported version per DUO’s direction to continue functionality.
Planned schedule
- Daily maintenance window: between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM (local time)
- Expected downtime for DUO login functionality: up to 2 hours during the maintenance window
- The DUO maintenance will be taking place though January
What to expect
- During the upgrade, DUO authentication (login prompts) may be unavailable for up to 2 hours. Please plan any critical logins or deployments outside the maintenance window to avoid interruption.
- We will monitor the upgrades closely and make every effort to minimize downtime.
- If we encounter issues that require additional time, we will notify you immediately with updated timelines and mitigation steps.
- For this maintenance, DUO Proxy will only need to be upgraded once in your organization.
- There may be new DUO functionality introduced with the updates; please continue to use the tool and notify us if anything needs attention.

- No immediate action is required. If you expect critical activity during the planned windows or have specific scheduling constraints, please contact your CSM directly.
